Welcome!

Our New Illustrated Webster's Dictionary defines a wirewalker as "one who performs feats of balancing, etc. upon a wire stretched in mid-air."

I've recently taken a job as a modern wirewalker -- telecommuting for the first time and balancing work and home in the same space. I'll use this blog to document my experiences and learn a few things along the way.

I hope to meet other telecommuters and those interested in virtual workspaces.

Welcome to my adventure...

Just remember....Don't look down, Penny! Seriously, this is an interesting balance anyway between work and home. However, to work at home is becoming more and more common as we find ourselves in the virtual world anyway. I do a regular, weekly work-at-home day and find I am able to accomplish lots and do not get distracted by home "work". When you set your schedule and hours, it works! Good luck and I plan to follow this blog to see how things are going.

Don't worry. It may take you some time to get into the groove (I would hate to say "routine") that works for you. Once you find it, though, I think it will work great for you.
